Hey Chris,
The GMLP (Gary Moore Les Paul) showed up today! Wow, that was fast! The guitar is absolutely stunning - you would think it was hanging in a showcase since 2000. It looks new.
I'm taking it to my luthier today for some setup tweaks. It's actually nice and low right now, but I want it to match my others just a bit more.

1. The top is superb, much better than the pictures.
2. The colour is really nice.
3. It turned up sooner than I expected.
4. They didn't charge me any tax.
5. I plays great straight out of the case even though it has come half way round the world.

Chris, the SG Standard arrived today, shortly before noon (just two days transit time). She survived her journey in fine shape, and really is a beauty. The guitar is exactly as you described it and pictured it on your web site - and sound-wise, from Cream-era Eric to AC/DC Angus and a whole lot more, this guitar sounds fantastic. It can be nerve-wracking buying a guitar long-distance and unplayed, especially when it's one that's decades old. Worries about accurate descriptions, hidden repairs, switched parts - there's a lot to justifiably be concerned about. Your reputation is obviously important to you, and your great communication and every other aspect of this sale made this a happy experience.

All I can say is, Wow...just...Wow. I am stunned!. Chris, this thing is
a Time Machine. It looks like someone zapped back to 1993 and stole some
poor sucker's R7 out of his hands whilst he was playing it for the first
time. I've always wanted a GT and this is a GT with presence and
character (and that historic Logo!). She is a thing of SO much beauty -
I've got a smile a mile wide and am in absolute adoration!

Hi Chris,
Just wanted to say 'Thank you' for this fabulous Les Paul! I received it this afternoon and have spent the last 2 1/2 hours giving it a work out. It's uncanny just how close this guitar is to my 2001 Murphy/Brazilian in terms of neck profile, playability and tone - kind of like twins separated at birth! The guitar is extremely resonant, has tone to the bone and major mojo to boot. I couldn't be happier with it; just a fantastic instrument in every aspect. I can honestly say that my Les Paul jones has been cured and now own three of the best that anyone could ever ask for. Thanks again and I'll be in touch in the future when I get bitten by the gear bug!

The tele arrived (Sat). Props to EMS for such fast international
delivery- great service!
The guitar has been a revelation. Hard to believe but it's actually my
first solid body; I've been playing semi-hollows or chambered guitars
for the past 13 yrs. I'm now starting to understand that "punch" you
get with solids. The notes are so articulate and clear- you really use
the volume/tone controls to get the color/dirt you desire. It's a very
responsive guitar. Great change from humbuckers.
This is also my first "relic" guitar. Just like the pictures, it's done
tastefully and simply. Cunetto really nailed it on this one; it's done
in an unobtrusive and natural way that doesn't call attention to
itself. Relics and "aged" guitars have blown up in the past decade and
I've seen some laughable examples- especially some recent Fender ones.
Not realistic at all but I guess that's to be expected when you're
trying to meet the current demand.
