1974 Les Paul
Deluxe
Rare 1974 cherry sunburst Les Paul Deluxe! One of the last
of these beauties with a mahogany neck. Wait...rare? Weren't there thousands
of these things produced? Well, it's rare in that it's in 100% original and
unmolested condition. It hasn't been humbuckered, Grovered, refretted, repotted,
or strap-locked. This is the best sounding Deluxe I've come across. And as
I am something of a Les Paul Deluxe fanatic, that means a lot. It's in excellent
condition with the expected buckle marks on the back. There's one small ding
on the top, but other than that, it's remarkably clean. The original frets
are still in great shape. The finish has faded to an attractive orange-iced
tea kind of burst. It's no longer the much derided "Clown Burst".
Included is the original black with purple velvet interior hard-shell case
(a personal favorite of mine).
